Where We Used To Swim (2019)
Lake Urmia in Northern Iran was once the biggest lake of the Middle East. Nowadays just 5% of the original lake remain. The rest is dried out and covered by salt. It became a political symbol all over the country. This cinematic essay observes the places of present and past and weaves a new narration with fragments of identity and memory.
